Re: Religious Technology Center v.
Grady Ward,
Case No. C-96-20207

Dear Judge Whyte:

I was served yesterday your Temporary Restraining Order, Order to Show Cause, and Order Sealing File that was granted upon ex parte request by the Plaintiff, the Religious Technology Center which I intend to scrupulously obey.

However in view of the recent memorandums of Judge Brinkema of the Eastern District, No. 95-1107-A, "MEMORANDUM OPINION IN SUPPORT OF ORDER OF SEPTEMBER 15, 1995 AND AMENDED ORDER OF NOVEMBER 29, 1995" and Judge Kane of the District of Colorado, No. 95-B-2143, "MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER" limiting the observed overly zealous behavior of the Plaintiff in executing their respective Writ of Seizures, and in view of the seizure report to you by Dennis Erlich in Case No. C-95 20091, in his letter dated February 21, 1995, I respectfully request that if you decide to grant a Writ of Seizure against me at my family residence in Arcata that you ensure that a Special Master or other neutral third party both carefully supervise the execution of such an order and that such Special Master retain custody of any seized material while the process of discovery is carried on in an orderly manner.

Respectfully Submitted,

Grady Ward, In Pro Se
