NOTs: Structure of the Vorlon Edition

NOTs were anonymously posted to alt.religion.scientology on May 6, 1996 by Vorlon. There were eight parts to the posting, and the contents were not optimally organized. This page is an attempt to clarify the structure of those postings, to make the material more easily accessible to beginning readers.

Key Points:

The ``NOTs Index'' post contains two complete tables of contents. The first shows the order of documents as they appear in the 7 postings that follow. This order is somewhat jumbled. The second lists the documents in a more logical order, sorted by series number, beginning with NED for OTs Series 1.
The NOTs file 1/7 post begins with a brief (4 page) dictionary of terms. This dictionary is attachment #1 to NOTs 4, ``Word Clearing and Information for Pre-OTs on NED for OTs''.
Following this dictionary comes an Advanced Courses Specialist Course checksheet, about 20 pages in length.
The NOTs file 2/7 posting contains NOTs 1 through 8.
The NOTs file 3/7 posting contains NOTs 9 through 18. Note that NOTs 10 precedes NOTs 9 in the file.
The NOTs file 4/7 posting contains NOTs 19 through 27. (Series 23 is missing.)
The NOTs file 5/7 posting contains NOTs 28 through 40.
The NOTs file 6/7 posting contains NOTs 41 through 44, plus 47 and 48. The order is jumbled.
The NOTs file 7/7 posting contains NOTs 45, 46, and 49 through 55. (Series 53 is missing.) In addition it contains series 2 and 3 of the Qual Corrective Actions series, and a one-page memo called OT III And OT III Attest. The order of items is jumbled.
